Group Visits

We welcome groups from schools, colleges, universities and community collectives to engage in our inspiring, educational and social activities. We offer private paid for tours as well as fully funded activities working with prioritised community groups.

If you can't see what you're looking for below, please check our Whats On calendar or see our Educational Group Visits information.

Community Workshops

We collaborate with numerous local groups and community focussed organisations, listening to participant wants and needs to create funded (free) bespoke events. We facilitate creative workshops and tours both at Nottingham Contemporary and around the city with artists which inspire creativity and create welcoming spaces to hold conversation and ideas.

Our aim is to encourage expression through art, support positive health wellbeing and cultivate social connections. We focus on building relationships with local communities who may identify as African, Caribbean, South or South-East Asian, people who've experienced disadvantaged circumstances and/or people aged 65 years old and over. If you are part of a group or organisation and would like to find out more about how we could collaborate, please get in touch by calling 0115 948 9786 or emailing natelle@nottinghamcontemporary.org.uk - we'd love to hear from you.

Exhibition Tours

Explore the galleries with our friendly gallery assistants as they guide your group through the current exhibition. You can discuss the artworks, share your opinions and get answers to any burning questions the works and themes inspire in you. Particularly recommended for people new to the gallery or with a particular interest in the current exhibition.

Building Tours

Enjoy a building tour led by our knowledgeable staff team to discover the history of Nottingham and Nottingham Contemporary whilst exploring behind-the-scenes of the gallery. Clad in lace patterned concrete, Nottingham Contemporary's RIBA Award-winning, green and gold building is an iconic feature of the city's skyline. The ambitious structure cascades down the side of a sandstone cliff revealing a cavernous interior where far more is happening than meets the outside eye. Particularly recommended for anyone with a keen interest in architecture, design or the history of Nottingham.

Building and Exhibition Tours last up to one hour and are suitable for groups of 10+ at a cost of £3 per person.

If your group would like to book a private Exhibition or Building Tour please phone us on 0115 9489750, email reception@nottinghamcontemporary.org or pop into our gallery.
