In March 2014, Marvin Gaye Chetwynd's tent sized Brain Bug come alive in a high energy performance with dancers. Chetwynd's internationally renowned performances champion the values of the amateur and the art of improvisation. The exuberance, absurdity, sexiness and delirium of her performances is underpinned by sincerity and commitment to the issues she addresses. These have included the state of democracy, gender politics and personal debt. The Brain Bug performance is inspired by the film Starship Troopers and involves 12 specially trained dancers.

The Brain Bug was first presented at the New Museum, New York in 2011 for the exhibition Homemade Tasers.
