VR for Schools: Grace Before Jones and Jimmy Robert
Grace Before Jones: Camera, Disco, Studio explores the life, work and collaborations of Grace Jones and her wide-ranging influence across design, music and fashion. The show includes around 200 works by some 40 artists. Works explore identities, representation and image-making, club culture and performance.
Jimmy Robert: Akimbo is the largest-ever presentation of Jimmy Robert in the UK, drawing together sculpture, installation, film, video, text, and works on paper from the past 20 years. Themes in Robert’s work, include touch, gesture, the personal and political body, visibility and the gaze along with their racialised and gendered readings.
