Xerox: Experimental Photo Portraiture Workshop
Sat 30 Mar, 1pm–6pmFully booked
Bring along your camera to experiment with photo portraiture, embracing copy scanning techniques that make space for exploring imperfection and beauty. This day-long workshop will be led by Jackson Bowley, as part of his ongoing series 'Xerox'.
“I wanted a space to create my own images that weren’t restricted to the traditional notions of beauty [...] By using the copy scanning technique, colors get crushed and details become blurred,” Bowley explains. “It becomes very disobedient.”
Jackson Bowley is a London based photographer originally from Nottingham, who’s work specialises in beauty and portraiture. He has worked with a range of companies including ASOS, i-D Magazine, Office Magazine & Wonderland. Within his work he aims to challenge traditional conventions surrounding beauty and portraiture, creating work that is playful and upbeat.
Open to all 15-25 year olds.
Free. Booking recommended.
