Wednesday Walkthrough: Abi Spinks
Wed 1 May, 6pmJoin us for a Wednesday Walkthrough – a gallery tour where artists, experts, researchers and academics give short talks in their field of expertise relating to the concepts explored in our exhibition.
Abi Spinks, curator of Daniel Steegmann Mangané, will be discussing his exhibition. Abi Spinks is a Nottingham-based curator, who has spent the last ten years curating exhibitions for Nottingham Contemporary. She recently co-curated the exhibition ‘States of America: Photography from the Civil Rights Movement to the Reagan Era’ (16 Sept-26 Nov 2017) with Irene Aristizábal. Previous exhibitions include solo presentations by Yelena Popova (2016), Raphael Hefti (2014/15), Agnieszka Polska (2014/15) and Tala Madani (2014). With a background in teaching and learning, Spinks previously taught contextual studies in art and design, including leading a course in contemporary art for University of Nottingham.
