Unearthing: A workshop in story and clay with Ruby Daley
Join Ruby Daley, a storyteller, traditional tile maker and community gatherer, to explore your personal histories and our collective dreams of a life lived closer to clay in this hands-on making workshop exploring ceramics in relation to our current exhibition Julia Isídrez: Mud is everything.
Please note: This session will run on two separate occasions with both sessions covering the same material, so it’s recommended to only attend one session.
Ruby Daley is a storyteller, traditional tile maker and community gatherer based in Glasgow. She facilitates gatherings that tend to our relationship to community, land and hand making. Her work is grounded in applied storytelling and folk research, focusing on stories of the land, archetypal emergence, and ritual practice. Ruby is fascinated by the eternality of clay and by the archaeological remains that preserve our myth making and social histories. Her work encourages the exploration / excavation of our relationship to the world through story, reflection, and intuitive making. Ruby is a 2025 graduate of the King’s Foundation Building Arts Programme and alumni of the Emerging Voices in Storytelling placement with the Village Storytelling Centre.
