Summer Family Activities: Play Stations

Our immersive space, created with Southwold Primary School pupils, forms the perfect backdrop for this summer’s creative activities.
Explore and share how play connects us, take over the space with gentle gestures of protest. What happens next? You decide.
Bring in your old games for our Swap Shop, to share with others.
There will be lots of materials to use for making, space to play, and time to rest.
The workshops are drop-in; however, we invite you to book a space for your session as spaces are limited.
Our sessions take place on Tue, Wed & Thu, at the following times:
10am - 12 noon
1 - 3pm
Book a ticket per person, including adults and children.

Our family activities are held in our large ground floor space, called The Space.

We have a Changing Places facility.

We are a Breastfeeding Welcome venue.

All our Play & Learn Facilitators hold a current DBS certificate.

All our Play & Learn Facilitators have annual safeguarding training.

We have staff on duty who are First Aid at Work, and Paediatric First Aid, trained.

We are a member of the Family Arts Campaign.

Our current exhibitions are: Assemble + Schools of Tomorrow: The Place We Imagine , a high energy space of physical and imaginative play for grown-ups and children and Meriem Bennani: Life on the CAPS.
Entry
Entry to our current exhibition in the galleries Assemble + Schools of Tomorrow: The Place We Imagine is free. To ensure the safety of our visitors, capacity in this exhibition is limited to 60. You may be asked to wait to enter during busy times. There is no pre-booking; entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please speak to our Reception team about the next available time slot.
During peak periods, you will be asked to limit your visit to one hour.
Safe play
Please take care of your children while enjoying the exhibition, encouraging safe and positive play.
Grown-ups and children are asked to remove their shoes in the galleries. Please be aware that the floor may be slippery. If you have non-slip socks at home, please bring them with you – if not, a limited number of non-slip socks are available on request.
Please don’t take food and drink inside the exhibition.
Our Gallery Assistants are on hand to support a happy and safe environment. Please help by listening to their guidance and let them know if you need assistance.
