My Favourite Christmas Song

Now in its thirteenth year, instigated by Lilian Greenwood MP, the annual Christmas Card Competition is open to children from all primary schools in the constituency of Nottingham South. There were over 1,200 entries, and the winning designs were chosen by a panel of judges.

The winner and their family receive a special trip with Lilian Greenwood, a day in Parliament, including train travel and a £100 gift voucher. There are prizes for the three runners up, a Special Merit award and a Best in School prize for each school taking part, and every child who enters the competition receives a certificate to thank them for their design.

The winning design will be professionally printed, and the runners-up designs will feature on the back of the finished card. This will be sent out to hundreds of people and organisations, both in Nottingham and across the country.

We are extremely grateful to Nottingham City Transport and Bridgeway Consulting Ltd for their sponsorship and Nottingham Contemporary's team for displaying the amazing work.

A big thank you to Nottingham Panthers, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Nottingham Forest FC, Notts County FC, and Nottingham Bowl for their prize giving and continued support.

Alongside the exhibition there will be a free family workshop with our Play and Learn Facilitator, Milee Lee on Sunday 17 December, 1 – 5 pm, where you can make your own festive paper decorations.
