Curators' Walkthrough: Allan Weber & Daniel Lind-Ramos
Wed 12 Feb, 1pm–2pmJoin us for a Wednesday Walkthrough – a gallery tour where artists, experts, researchers and academics give short talks in their field of expertise relating to the concepts explored in our current exhibitions.
This season, we are presenting two major solo exhibitions from artists Allan Weber and Daniel Lind-Ramos.
Working across a range of mediums including assemblage, installation, sculpture and photography, Allan Weber’s practice acts as a vehicle to deconstruct the realities of daily life within the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.
The power of memory and storytelling is central to Daniel Lind-Ramos' work. He creates evocative sculptural assemblages that reflect Puerto Rican historical and contemporary experiences.
In this walkthrough, our Director Salma Tuqan and Curator Katie Simpson will introduce audiences to the work of Allan Weber in galleries 1 & 2, and Assistant Curator Niall Farrelly will explore the practice of Daniel Lind-Ramos in galleries 3 & 4. The three curators will discuss the key concepts and ideas presented across both of our new exhibitions.
