If you have enjoyed taking part in any of our digital family activities this past year, we would really appreciate you shouting about it!

Over the past year and a half our Play and Learn Team have been designing and delivering digital family activities for you all to enjoy. You may have spotted their faces (and their children’s!) in the supporting videos and images, and on our Play & Learn at Home page, as they fully immersed themselves in the activities by testing them out with their family!

We have sent out almost 600 material packs in lockdown to support creativity at home, three-quarters of these have been to NG postcodes, a few packs even made it to New York! Teachers have been doing these activities in the classroom as well support workers in care homes with their residents.

We asked you to share your feedback with us through our Family Survey so that we can develop more activities that are suited to your needs. You gave us some amazing feedback:

"I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the packs that you posted out to us. So, so grateful- looking forward to being able to come back!"

"Thank you for your message and amazing service, we can't wait to have a crafty weekend creating party supplies. Thank you for spreading some joy it's more than appreciated!"

And an overwhelming majority of you told us your motivation for doing the activities was for fun and to be creative, lockdown has been hard for us all.

"Amazing ideas, great for lockdown, thank you!"

"You are a lockdown hero! Many thanks again."

And we discovered we had a new audience! We can’t wait to meet you in person!

"Loved the activities (and that they were packaged beautifully!) and staff really helpful and friendly, wish we lived near and could visit in person."

Families Vote for Us! Members of the public are invited to put forward the museum they think should win by visiting the Kids in Museums website here and filling in the online form.

Each year Kids in Museums put the power in families’ hands to crown the winner of their annual Family Friendly Museum Award.

Family judges help Kids in Museums decide the winners, along with an expert panel of museum professionals.

It was lovely before and it will be lovely again.

Working digitally, means we miss all those lovely conversations we would usually have with you, sharing ideas, listening, and seeing how you respond to our workshops. It is difficult to get feedback when we don't see you and this would really help.
