We are excited to curate this season with our friends at Monstrous Flesh.

Monstrous Flesh is a multi disciplinary community venture focusing on the representation of women in horror, through curated film courses, events, talks, and a fortnightly podcast dedicated to exploring the origins of horror tropes.

Monstrous Flesh was founded in 2021 by Clelia McElroy, community cinema director and film events producer in Nottingham and the Midlands. In 2023, Clelia joined forces with Dr Megan Kenny, writer, podcaster, parapsychologist and folklorist. Together they host the Monstrous Flesh podcast and are currently working on a new film course centring on international folk horror.

Hideous Thing Inside has been made possible with support from Film Hub Midlands through funds from the National Lottery. Film Hub Midlands support people to watch, show, and make films in the Midlands.
