Experiments in Light
Collect objects from around the home – things that are solid, transparent and semi-opaque – coloured plastic, bubble wrap, cellophane, netting, glasses - empty and filled. Think about shape and colour too when you make your selection.
Arrange them on a table or shelf against a wall. Use a torch, lamp or sunlight to cast shadows.
Experiment with your arrangement and explore different light effects. Can you create a movement and light sequence by moving and arranging your objects in different ways? Take a look at the films in Gallery 1 for inspiration.
