Work Experience
18 students took part in a unique week of work experience with Nottingham Contemporary and partner arts venues across the city in July 2024.
Hosted by Nottingham Contemporary and delivered in partnership with Nottingham City Museums and Galleries, New Art Exchange and QueerNotts Zine, students met and explored the roles of different people and teams across organisations.
The week included meeting and sharing experiences with artists, programmers, curators and technicians to gain an insight into the variety of careers within the arts. Attendees also visited different venues and teams and explored a range of places and spaces to work.
In July 2025 we will be offering places for 20 students to take part in the placement this academic year – dates to be confirmed. Applications are welcome from pupils attending Nottingham City schools and beyond. However, priority will be given to students who attend city schools.
