The Store of Modern Childhood

Just Drop In!

For years, research from The Children's Society has demonstrated young people's views about their own lives. From poverty and crime to exploitation and bullying - the reality of modern childhood can be a harrowing experience. That's why we are opening the Store of Modern Childhood. Every product on 'sale' is based on the fears and concerns of young people's voices we hear through our work.

We want to bring optimism back to being young. If we listen to what children are saying about their lives, we can help build a future with more hope, confidence and optimism.

As an important advocate for future generations, we are pleased invite you to join us at this experiential store. Delivered in partnership with Nottingham Contemporary, you can walk around this thought-provoking exhibition, hear some interesting insights from a range of speakers, learn more about from our research and the work we do to support young people's mental health and wellbeing. We also look forward to exploring how we might work together to achieve more for young people.

With your support, we can amplify young people's voices and build a better future for them #IHearYouth.
