The Screen at Contemporary: Day Before Night

25 Jul 2018

The Screen at Contemporary presents its summer 2018 film season, Day Before Night. A lot can happen in just 24 hours - join us this summer for moody, feverish and frantic stories told within a day.

The police, border patrol, crooks, honeymooners, and a fortune teller converge one night in a border-town where a bomb has been detonated. This classic noir is a cynical and nightmarish depiction of good and evil and a timeless example cinematic artistry. Touch of Evil opens with the now-infamous and often parodied long take of 12 minutes that lavishly opens the story to us.
