Phlexx Records presents their 4th Phlexx & Friends - a free entry night of live music, featuring three debut acts to the Phlexx roster.
Having debuted on the Nottingham scene in February 2016, TWIN KIDD have already played alongside WHITE and L.U.H., and have just released their self-produced first EP ‘Fold’. The band blend live instruments, layered vocal harmonies and electronic elements in a sound they loosely define as alt-pop.
Dark indie quartet bringing pop hooks and atmospheric instrumentals to emotive lyrics. Having already cut their teeth on individual projects, the four combine to produce haunting, piano led melodies. Expect a big sound from these Nottingham newbies.
Cherry Hex & The Dream Church
Nottingham duo Cherry Hex and The Dream Church create a unique cocktail of moody, minimalist pop taking influence from 80s new wave, shoegaze and dream-pop. Combining the use of a bass guitar and a glockenspiel, CH&TDC seek to craft an unusual sound and an engaging live experience. Despite having only formed under a year ago, they have played alongside the likes of BØRNS, Youngr, Let's Eat Grandma, Weaves, OSCAR, and GIRLI.
"Just sensational - totally mesmerising to watch"
"It's hard to describe the feeling they instil when you're watching them - it is almost an out-of-body experience"
- Dean Jackson, BBC Introducing
Please note, this event is suitable for over 18s only.
