Have fun with your family in the galleries over half term. We’ve got two very special activities on offer to get you exploring the galleries and trying some unusual ways of making art. Tue - Fri, 11am - 3pm. Free. Drop in.

Time Drawing
15 & 17 Feb
You and your family will be under strict instructions to draw in times set for you. No questions allowed. The clock is ticking, pencils on the ready and GO....

Build it up!
14 & 16 Feb
Explore the galleries and choose your favourite artwork. Now work together to recreate your artwork and add it to the giant stand up sculpture.

Is the Build it up a practical session where the children actually make something. Love your family room stuff that happens at weekends downstairs in the space. The half term events i have been to before where a bit walk around and talk about the art and not very practical for 3-5 year olds. Thanks

Yes! ‘Build it Up!’ is a practical activity and perfect for a 3-5 year old to do with their family. Thank you for your positive comments about the family room and extravaganzas. We try and mix things up and use holidays as an additional opportunity to get families to explore the artworks in more depth. We also have the new Play and Learn boxes for families to use once you have completed the practical activity in the gallery.

Hi Amy, the Time Drawings workshop takes place on 15 & 17 Feb, while Build it up! is on 14 & 16 Feb.
