The David Ross Creative Schools Programme

22 Apr 2017 - 23 Apr 2017

Students from the city and across the region will take over The Space on Fri 21 - Sun 23 April with an exhibition of their artwork exploring social justice, identity, values and role models in Britain today, inspired by The Place Is Here.
250 young people from primary, special and secondary schools have been working with our team of artists to create sculptures, installation, photography and collage.
The programme, funded by the David Ross Foundation aims to engage and inspire young people, to develop their confidence to express ideas and opinions, and to foster a sense of pride and achievement through the exhibition and celebration of their work.
Children and young people aged five to fifteen have taken part from Edna G Olds Academy, Farnborough Academy, Heathfield Primary School, Nottingham Academy, Oak Field School and Sports College, Robin Hood Primary School, Charles Read Academy, Charnwood College, Lodge Park Academy and Skegness Grammar School.
We are looking forward to lots of young people and their families coming along to the celebration and seeing their artworks fill our Space.
The celebration event on Fri 21 April is for teachers and students.
The exhibition will be open Sat 22 and Sun 23 April.
Everyone welcome. 11am - 3pm. Drop in. Free.
