The David Ross Creative Schools Programme

27 Mar 2018 - 28 Mar 2018

Students from the city and across the region will take over The Space on Tues 27 and Wed 28 March with an exhibition of their artwork exploring journeys, identity and personal responses to our recent exhibition, From Ear to Ear to Eye.

250 young people from primary, special and secondary schools have been working with our team of artists to create poetry, installation, drawing, photography, collage digital and multi-sensory artworks.

The programme, funded by the David Ross Foundation aims to engage and inspire young people, to develop their confidence to express ideas and opinions, and to foster a sense of pride and achievement through the exhibition and celebration of their work.

Children and young people aged five to eighteen have taken part from Edna G Olds Academy, Farnborough Academy, Heathfield Primary School, Nottingham Academy, Oak Field School and Sports College, Robin Hood Primary School, Charles Read Academy, Lodge Park Academy, Malcolm Arnold Academy and Skegness Grammar School.

We are looking forward to lots of young people and their families coming along to the celebration and seeing their artworks fill our Space.

Celebration events for teachers and students take place on Tues 27 and Wed 28 Mar.

The exhibition will be open to families and visitors from 2.45 - 5pm on Wed 28 Mar.
Join us for workshops, live music and refreshments.
Everyone welcome. Drop in. Free.
