The Screen at Contemporary: Day Before Night

15 Aug 2018

The Screen at Contemporary presents its summer 2018 film season, Day Before Night. A lot can happen in just 24 hours - join us this summer for moody, feverish and frantic stories told within a day.

Brick, along with his wife Maggie, visit his affluent family for Big Daddy’s birthday where tensions take hold and threatens to devastate them all. Lies, greed, sex, failure of masculinity and the threat of the female all comes to a boil in this delicious classic. No one does sultry, claustrophobic summer-in-the-south like Tennessee Williams, and Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman simmer with tension in this film adaptation.
