on Marguerite Humeau and Otobong Nkanga's exhibitions

Join us for different perspective on our exhibitions. Our Wednesday Walkthroughs are 45min talks, every other Wednesday at 2pm or 6pm.

 

19 Oct, 2pm

Angelica Sule and Nicola Guy, Nottingham Contemporary Assistant Curators will talk about the ideas behind Marguerite Humeau’s and Otobong Nkanga’s exhibitions.

 

2 Nov, 6pm

Dr Isla Forsyth, University of Nottingham. Isla's research interests are in cultural and historical geography, critical military geography and more-than-human geographies. She will give a talk within the context of Otobong’s exhibition.

 

16 Nov, 2pm

Dr Ben Elliott, University of York, is an archaeologist who has collaborated with artist Marguerite Humeau in previous projects. His research interests reside in the ways people understood and engaged with animals in the Mesolithic, and the way people use animal materials. He is also interested in the sounds that animals make within a landscape.

 

30 Nov, 6pm

Dr Maria Puig de la Bellacasa, Leicester University. Maria has extensive expertise in soil science and post-colonial studies, she will give a talk within the context of Otobong Nkanga’s exhibition.

 

14 Dec, 2pm

Dr Lisa Yon, University of Nottingham. Lisa is interested in the health, welfare and conservation of captive and free-living wildlife, with a particular focus on elephants. She will give a talk within the context of Marguerite Humeau's exhibition.
