Free workshop opportunity for undergraduates or recent graduates from art and design courses
By
Abi Spinks, Assistant Curator

For our autumn season, we are exhibiting the work of Asco, an artist collective from LA, who worked together between 1972-1987.  Together, the four core members of Asco made performance works, films, photographs and murals. Nottingham Contemporary are bringing Patssi Valdez, one of the core members of Asco, over from LA in late September.  Patssi will be working for two weeks in a space in Primary studios, Nottingham, prior to the exhibition opening.

We are currently recruiting students and recent graduates to train with Patssi, learn her techniques and assist with making around five of her ‘paper fashions’.

The dates of the workshop are:

Monday 23 September to Friday 4 October (Not including Sunday 29 September) 2013

Approximate times: 10am - 6pm

Participants must be available for all the dates of the workshop.

Please contact Abi Spinks for more details or to sign up for the workshop.
